The bad twin of the washing machine

Filed under: Housekeeping    Email this article    Deutsche Version

For a family in Perth it is totally normal to have a so-called laundry. A laundry is a room where the washing machine, the dryer and a sink are placed.

trockner.jpgThe laundry in our house is a teeny-weeny room in which the washing machine is situated between the sink and the water heater. The dryer hangs on the wall above the washing machine. One person can enter the room and can stand in front of the washing machine and the dryer and that’s about it.

We have already reported about our challenging washing machine. However we didn’t tell you that the washing machine has a bad twin called dryer. We have little experience with dryers, so it’s perhaps totally normal that the filter is so full after drying that it seems a sheep had been freshly sheared. After some unsatisfactory attempts, above all for my favorite sweaters, we limit the use of the dryer to dry only tea towels and bed linen. The rest of the laundry is dryed on the clothesline.
