I come from a family where my father was a plumber and so I’m used to have single lever tabs in the bath and in the kitchen.

Therefore it was a rather strange thing to believe that these wonderful tabs, which keep the water temperature constant, aren’t that widespread throughout Australia.

The consequence of that is that I burn myself on a regularly basis, when the water starts to get really hot all of a sudden.

So it’s not surprising to hear my outcry under the shower or my angry mumbling when I am doing the dishwashing, because I still don’t manage the tabs and the water becomes always either boiling hot or icey cold.
