If you give someone your address in Western Australia, the other one doesn’t know immediately from which town you are from. The whole address thing works differently than in Austria.
Firstly you tell the unit number, then the number of the block and then the street name. This is followed by the name of the district you are living in (not Perth, except you are living directly in the business district which is indeed called Perth), then the state, in our case Western Australia and then the postal code.
You would read it like this:
Joe Doe
3/2 Oxford Street
Leederville WA 6007
I don’t know how often we mistook the unit number with the block number and the boy from the pizza delivery service had to call, because in unit 2, block 3 noone had ordered a pizza.
