We already mentioned that it’s not so hot in Western Australia as one would assume. But it rains much more as one would expect.

The rain has a strangely flood-like quality in Perth. If it begins to rain, it begins not simply to drip and then gets slowly stronger. No, if it begins to rain here, you think someone has turned on the shower. It rains cats and dogs! It rains approximately 5 minutes and then someone turns off the shower again and all of a sudden the rain stops. This nice game is repeated every 30 minutes. That is our weather situation for the last two weeks.

But I guess that means simply that winter has begun.
