An update on the winter weather in Perth.
In June it rained as much as it hadn’t rained for the last 70 years in June.
In July it didn’t rain as much as it used to rain in July for the last 30 years.
By the way, last week it rained at the Ayers Rock for the first time since 1990.
The winter in Perth is quite nice actually. It’s cold in the night, around about 7 degrees celsius at the moment, but it happens to have about 20 degrees at lunch time.
Since we bought an additional heater, our house gets warm very fast and our fingers and feet stay warm and nice. Therefore watching the telly is quite comfy again.
We already received our first winter electricity bill. We pay now about 200 Australian dollars more than normal, but we both agree that it’s worth the price, because we are no longer grumpy because we are feeling so cold.
