London Court is a small street in the city of Perth running between Hay Street Mall and St Georges Terrace.
The houses in London Court are all quite old, at least in Australian standards, and built in the Tudor style. On each end of the street is medieval doorway. Each shop has a sort of trade guild sign above their entry doors. The whole atmosphere on that street is strangely medieval and definitly British.
All the shops sell Australian souvenirs. You find there everything - pseudo-aboriginal kitsch, chocolates, Australian made sheepskin products.
London court is something special with its old, elisabethian flair in the midst of Perth’s skyscrapers. It’s totally worth a visit while you’re in Perth.
We recommend a visit in the tiny-winy London Court Cafe, it’s so cute. And because London Court is right next to the shopping malls, you don’t have to do a detour to visit it.
